Porcelain Veneers

Your smile speaks a million expressions, and we understand how you wouldn't want anything affecting its appearance. Dental injuries or trauma may cause your teeth to break, chip, or crack. With cosmetic dental restorations such as dental veneers, our team has the perfect solution to restore your smile to its natural look and form.

What are veneers?

Dental veneers are custom-made, wafer-like restorations that can be bonded on the surface of teeth. They are made out of tooth-colored materials making it look close to the color of your natural teeth. They make teeth appear straight and naturally aligned to the remaining teeth. The tooth-colored material would be made of ceramic quality.

Porcelain veneers are made out of porcelain or resin composite material. These veneers are great as they are stain-resistant and are capable of making your newly restored teeth look natural and life-like.

Why do veneers make an excellent type of dental restoration?

Veneers make excellent dental restorations as they impart several advantages for the patient who needs them. Here are some of the features of veneers that make them the most demanded type of dental restoration.

  • Life-like and look natural
  • Corrects gap issues between teeth
  • Covers stains and hide cracks
  • Highly durable and long-lasting
  • Enhances the aesthetics of the smile

What is the procedure involved in getting dental veneers?

The first step of the procedure would involve getting a dental examination. The dentist will examine your teeth to ensure that dental veneers are right for you. During this phase, the dentist would also collect impressions of your teeth.

The next step would involve preparing your teeth to receive the dental veneer. Local anesthesia would be administered in areas around the tooth that requires the restoration. The dentist would then remove at least 0.5 mm of the surface enamel to make space for the veneer to be bonded.

By this time, the dentist would have sent out models or impressions of your teeth to the laboratory where the veneers would be prepared.

The final step would involve bonding the veneer to the tooth's surface. The dentist would trim and adjust the veneer to ensure proper fit.
